You may be surprised to learn that beliefs you hold to be true consciously are not always shared by your subconscious mind!

There are many areas of our lives that are profoundly affected by the subconscious beliefs we gathered during the formative years of our lives. These beliefs can show up in many areas of our life, creating self-sabatoging behaviors, keeping us from achieving our goals and realizing our true potential in life. But, you don’t need a new past; you just need new eyes with which to see it. You can retain the lessons learned from past experience without the continual distressing influence of dwelling on the emotions and having them distorted. And, unlike most other systems of personal change, PSYCH-K uses permission protocols to confirm the participation of your subconscious mind. These same protocols ensure the changes you make are in your highest and best interest!

The PSYCH-K process does not insist that you consciously revisit or relive past traumas in order to change their effect on your life in the present.

Self-Esteem~Self-Worth

You have low self-esteem and lack self-confidence. You find yourself underselling yourself and you are your own worst critic. It's hard to accept compliments. You find yourself in relationships that are demeaning or just not what you want. You "know better" but just can't seem to change the way you think of yourself and your destructive "inner talk".

How do you feel about yourself? Is it good or bad? How you feel about yourself is self-esteem. Your self-esteem profoundly influences how others view you. If you have a high sense of self-esteem, other people will tend to see you that way. If your self-esteem is low, others will feel a lack of confidence or trust in you.

Self-worth is what you are born with. You can’t lose it, but you can lose sight of your value. There seems to be no relationship between a person's feelings of inferiority and his true inferiority (if such a thing exists). Feelings of inferiority are dictated by our own personal, subjective inner standards.

As children we are given many "I Can't" and "You're Not Good Enough" messages. These messages can program subconscious beliefs that continually manifest over the course of your life. You can experience feelings of inferiority and/or become a perfectionist. You may become hypersensitive and manifest traits such as a tremendous amount of drive and energy, feeling unable to relax within yourself. You might hold people at a distance so they don't get too close, become too friendly, and find out what you’re really like. You may be submissive and will do almost anything to avoid a scene or argument. Your feelings of inadequacy may cause you to be critical of others. You may not really like yourself and believe you don’t deserve anything good.

Some sample belief balance statements for self-esteem:

I deeply appreciate and accept myself.
I do my best and my best is good enough.
I deserve to be happy.
I am worthy of the very best that life has to offer.
I am proud of who I am and I am a good person.
I am confident and self-assured.

Personal Power

You experience a sense of power when you feel in control of your life. Power is the ability to achieve goals and influence others, and includes enthusiasm and optimism.

Some people have within deep insecurities about their ability to positively affect the course of their lives. When you don’t have a sense of personal power you may become resentful and uncooperative. When a person does not feel personal power, it is usually fear they feel. They compensate for this by striving to gain outward signs of power, like acquiring lots of money, possessions and social status. Usually, this does not result in their feeling the power they are seeking from these external things. The messages you heard as a child might have been that “You’re not important” or” Your actions don’t matter”, leaving you feeling inadequate and unable as an adult.

With PSYCH-K, you can increase your self-confidence, overcome your fears of “not enough” and find a willingness to take positive, decisive action in your life today. Prosperity

Have you been frustrated with your attempts to make money or hold on to it once you've got it? When you do get money, you find yourself doing things to sabotage yourself when the money starts to roll in (spend frivolously or make unwise investments for example). You can't seem to motivate yourself to get going and do something about your financial situation.

You are here to lead an abundant life. You are here to be happy, radiant and free. You should therefore have all the wealth you need to live a full, happy and prosperous life. Beliefs that sabotage your personal prosperity are frequently embedded in the subconscious mind. Beliefs such as “Money is the root of all evil,” “I don’t deserve to have all the money I want”, or as a child you heard “Do you think money grows on trees?” from your parents when you wanted something. You - and your subconscious - were taught that money is scare, there's not enough to go around, or maybe you don't deserve to have all the money you need.

It is okay to have all the money you need. You deserve to live the life that you want.

Some sample belief statements for prosperity:

I deserve to have all the money I need.
Money is a wonderful tool I use to create possibility for myself and others.
It is okay for me to want money and I do want it.
It is safe, fun, and easy to make lots of money doing a job that I love.
It is okay for me to have more money than I need.

Relationships


For many people, relationships are the most rewarding and sometimes the most challenging and painful of human experiences. Our first role models for relationships are usually our parents. The subconscious mind is simply programmed to recognize and attract what is familiar, not necessarily what is desirable. That is why so many of us marry our “father” or “mother”.

You can’t blame it on your parents though. We see and experience relationships outside the home environment that add to our subconscious storehouse too. What about your first “love” that burned you when it ended. Do you feel you are not lovable? Not deserving of a healthy, loving and lasting relationship?

Some sample belief statements to improve relationships:

It is easy for me to give and receive love from others.
I am willing to risk loving and being loved.
It is okay for me to express my truth in a relationship.
It is okay for me to grow and change in a relationship.
I am able to maintain my individuality in my relationships.
I release relationships when it is time to let go.

Physical Health & Body Image


Our health is the foundation of our lives. As research is showing, our minds and bodies are linked in a dialogue that can create health or disease. The field of Energy Psychology addresses the relationship of energy systems, thoughts and belief systems to emotion, cognition, behavior and physical health. Many cultures including the Chinese, Polynesian, Native American, etc., have been using this connection for centuries.

Our beliefs have been linked to obesity, heart disease, arthritis, cancer, as well as other autoimmune diseases. An entire spectrum of scientific studies support the findings that there is a “disease-resistant” as well as a “self-healing” personality. Healthful traits are supported by healthful subconscious beliefs.

Some sample belief statements for health & Body:

My body heals itself naturally and quickly.
My cells are strong and reproduce perfectly.
I accept health as being a natural part of my life.
I am a good person and deserve to have a healthy body.

Serious Health Issues and Disease:

Our beliefs have been linked to heart disease, arthritis, cancer as well as other autoimmune diseases.  For example, research has discovered that a cancer gene cannot turn itself on - something triggers it, and in most cases it is how we subconsciously perceive our world.  It’s not about treating symptoms; it’s about what’s causing the symptoms.  We can work with you to discover what is behind the manifestation of your health issues and help with reprogramming the subconscious beliefs around those conditions thereby actually changing how your genes express themselves.

PLEASE NOTE: A PSYCH-K facilitator does not diagnose medical problems, nor does PSYCH-K replace the need for medical attention or substitute for psychological counseling. Spirituality

There seems to be a deep need in many people to fill a void in their lives that material possessions just can’t satisfy. Whether through organized religion or its various spiritual alternatives, the search for meaning in our lives has caused a heightened interest in all things spiritual. Often people live in a state of perpetual “overwhelm.” This sensation of being overwhelmed can, and often does, lead to a crippling feeling of insecurity and uncertainty. In times like these, people unable to manage or control their external environments turn inward for solstice and comfort. You are spiritual and you desire to live in healthier states of mind, but find yourself continually triggered back into anger, depression or other unhealthy states of mind. You are aware that you have unhealthy beliefs and attitudes that are creating the reality that you now live in.

 

Some sample belief statements to enhance spirituality:

I am a necessary and important part of the Divine plan.
I co-create my reality with God/Divine Creator.
When I trust the God/Divine within, anything is possible.
I anticipate miracles as a natural part of my life.
I am guided and protected by God/Divine Intelligence.

Grief & Loss

Loss is inevitable…how you respond to it is optional. Grief and depression go hand-in-hand, with depression being considered a normal part of the grief process. While a normal and usually healthy response to loss, it can become unhealthy and counterproductive if it is severe or lingers for an inappropriate period of time. Grief over a loss isn’t always because someone has died. We experience loss all the time. Losses can be a deep, meaningful relationship, a child to a custody battle, a pregnancy, a runaway teen, a job, our sense of self, purpose in our lives, a pet that has run away. These griefs and losses can also include stress and trauma from changes and adjustments in our lives. These changes can include marriage, divorce, childbirth, adoption, child custody issues, a new home, career, relationships, weight loss or gain, and graduation.

It may sound strange to say one can experience grief and loss over a graduation, but it happens. For example, it may be experienced as a huge transition from a place where you have become comfortable or even successful to feeling as if the future is uncertain. You may experience grief over the loss of that safe place; something you know; a place where you feel secure. This can be true of many situations such as a marriage, a career, or a new home and can sometimes show up in startling ways when the subconscious programs enter into the picture

Some sample belief statements to alleviate grief & loss:

Although I grieve for what I have lost, I know that a greater good will follow.
I acknowledge my feelings as a necessary part of my healing process.
I bless and release all those who have caused me pain.
I know when it is time to let go, and I do.

Depression

Depression is a part of our lives.  It can be a result of experiencing a traumatic event and sometimes it can creep up on us without us ever understanding its origins. As much as we might try to deny it, depression affects us throughout our lives either on a personal level or indirectly through family and friends. 

Most believe that depression is something bad or burdensome and some even experience feelings of guilt about being depressed saying, “I can’t believe I am so down all the time. I shouldn’t be feeling this way.” Depression enters into our lives as a messenger bringing us valuable information about issues we need to tend to within our psychological life. It is telling us that something needs to be shifted. Also, depression is exacerbated by a belief that it should not exist and by feeling guilty when you do experience it.

With the PSYCH-K process, working together we can balance the belief that is at the root of the depression by asking the subconscious what it might be. For some it might be tied into grief and loss, for others it might be a result of severe conflicts in their Core beliefs. Remember, the PSYCH-K process does not insist that you consciously revisit or relive past traumas in order to change their effect on your life in the present.

There are no "sample belief statements" for depression. When we check-in with the subconscious mind during the session, it will determine what it is that needs to be shifted to balance the negative belief(s) that are at the root of it all and contributing to what you are feeling.

Job Performance

You are trying to build a business but you find your own limitations getting in your way. You find yourself procrastinating, losing time in disorganization, unable to follow through properly, lacking the required motivation to market your business, or frozen with fear at the thought of making cold calls or giving presentations. Further, you don't ask for the money you know that you are worth. Or maybe you're a person who wants to leave a dead-end job but lack the courage and clarity to make the leap. You find time slipping by and you question what you are doing, yet can't seem to make it happen. You know that you are capable of much more, but can't seem to do anything about it.
